                                             Flying During The COVID Pandemic

It really isn't safe to fly during the current Coronavirus surge. At international airports you are coming in contact with thousandths of travelers who are traveling from various parts of the world that have different restrictions on containing the virus.

The plane ride itself does not offer proper ventilation thus making it difficult for fresh air to circulate. One thing we do know about the virus is that it is less likely to spread in well ventilated areas.

The best way to stay healthy is to limit the contact you have with large groups of people. Air travel is counterproductive to maintaining wellness at this time.

If one must travel via airplane, take plenty of vitamins, wash hands frequently, and use an air mist portable humidifier. Also, use the following guidelines:

-Get tested for COVID

-Wear masks

-Place keys and phones in carry on luggage instead of bins

-Wash hands after every contact

-Use hand sanitizer frequently

-Check country requirements and closures before departure

-Refrain from touching door knobs, elevator buttons, and kiosks

-Separate food from carry on luggage in a different parcel

The best mode of travel today may be via automobile. However one has to be careful when fueling. If self-serving use disinfectant wipes at the pump or elect to have a gas station attendant re-fuel your vehicle.

Always use sanitizer and wash hands with soap and water after using the pumps. If driving long distances and the need arises to consume a meal, opt for using the drive-thru since it requires minimal contact.
